The Galisteo Inn

Church at the Village of Galisteo

Galisteo was first a Spanish colonial outpost, built on the ruins of an ancient Indian pueblo. Today it is home to artists, writers and healers. The community still retains a strong sense of its Native American heritage and Spanish traditions.

"The old church pressed up tight against the road, the small adobe houses and buildings linked together by a dusty web of narrow lanes, the penetrating quiet of the place -- everything about Galisteo intrigued me." ~ Southern Living

"Twice a year, the arid range is awash in color as the chollo cactus that are everywhere blossom in magenta and yellows. The bright blue sky and sun only magnify the largeness of the place." ~ Boston Globe
